@ChieftanMews: 3/10: You all snap snap snap. Expect a rabbit out of my ass. Please don’t judge me. Are you feeling Feral? Snap snap snap all you: 10/3

The third of the series of 10 questions asked to fans, this is one of the most aggressive Tweets from Senor Chieftan Mews, here he tweets the name and lyrics from the song Feral:

You are not mine
And I am not yours.
And that’s okay.

Please don’t judge me.

and accuses his followers of expecting him to pull a rabbit out of his arse.. a expression meaning to do a task for which there is no time, support and is generally impossible. Possibly this refers to some fans expecting Mews to be leading towards a new recording from the band or some point in general?

The rabbit could also be a reference to earlier song Myxomatosis from Hail To The Thief named after a disease that was used to help manage the feral rabbit population in Australia in the 1950s, and in somewhat of a reverse of the introduction of rabbits to Australia the disease was introduced to France by Dr. Paul Armand Delille in a attempt to control the rabbit population on his land in 1952. By 1953 the disease had reached the UK after wiping out 90% of the wild rabbit population in France and many wild rabbits in Europe still suffer from the ‘Myx’.
You can read more about it on Wikipedia here.

The expression ‘Snap Snap Snap’ is too vague to pin down, however it may refer to yet another gameshow titled “Snap Snap” from the Scottish STV network broadcast from 1997 to 1999.

We’d love to hear what answers other people sent to Mew’s ‘quiz’!
