Chasing Mews and Moon Theory are a attempt by some Radiohead fans to document the theories and crazy surrounding Chieftan Mews a fictional?? alter-ego of the band who after the release of The King of Limbs last year divided some of the fan community with his return to the spotlight.
To help keep the truth from fiction Ers Menoo is focused on the facts and investigation to understand each clue whereas Ims Menoo is a record of some of the zany..and possibly crazy speculation and theories to come from it.
We hope to give space to some of the hard work that people have put into trying to ‘crack the code’ while trying to present a bigger picture of just what the point of it all was (if indeed there was one at all) and document just how it came to be that major established music publications like Rolling Stone and NME found themselves being beaten at their own game by a humble fanblog like The King of Limbs Part 2.
It is also a tribute to the power of social networking to bring people together from all over the world, while it might not change the world the actions of Mews and Radiohead have created friendships that would never have existed otherwise. Finally of course as a thank you to the band & Mews for going to such efforts to keep in touch with their fans…abet in a most unlikely way!
So Thank you to Radiohead, Nigel, Stanley and Clive too!
Also we’d like to pay a big respect to Josh of The King of Limbs Part 2 who first started blogging about Mews and the theories last year, along with the countless Radiohead fansites out there where people from all of the world have exchanged info, discussed and argued to pull together clues and ideas.
Most of all we’d like to thank Chieftan Mews and plan to stay detuned for as long as the game goes on.
